Testimonials

This was a wonderful venue for us! We did both the ceremony and reception here which is not very common, but it went wonderfully. Our wedding was in the middle of July with about 200 guests, and the venue never got hot!! Not only was the building breathtaking, the owners were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this venue to anyone to who is looking to get married in beautiful, historic downtown Georgetown.

“My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of using Winyah Indigo Society Hall for our wedding reception! The deciding factor for us to book them was not only their historical charm, but also being able to use all of our own vendors instead of ones chosen for us. This was huge because it felt more personal and tailored to our wants and needs. We also loved the fact that we had the building all weekend instead of certain allotted hours. I highly recommend this venue and would use them again!”

I love this venue! Pictures just don’t do it justice. It is both majestic and charming at the same time, steeped in history and tradition. It’s a bonus, as a planner who does design and décor, to work with an already beautiful space. It’s also rare to have a historic property offer so much versatility: room, a great kitchen, ample power sources, a great getting ready space, and entrances that have that WOW factor. On top of that, Suzanne and her team were such a pleasure to work with. Winyah Indigo Hall was exactly what we were looking for for our wedding. It’s intrinsic character doesn’t require much added decoration. It was plenty of room for our 150+ guests for our wedding. And having the elevator and upstairs bathroom made it perfect for anyone we invited. Suzanne was great to work with and really went the extra mile for us. We would recommend this venue to anyone!

“We had our wedding reception at Winyah Indigo Society Hall and the whole experience was a great one! From the beginning, management was courteous and knowledgeable. They were easy to contact and quick with answers/responses. Suzanne provided excellent recommendations for a wedding planner who had worked with the venue on multiple occasions so the entire event was pulled off seamlessly. A major plus was having access to the venue from Friday - Monday, instead of being rushed in and out like many other locations. We would highly recommend Winyah Indigo Society Hall for your wedding ceremony and/or reception.”
